I have a 3 acre Lake. With it being so dry, Snakes are abundant!What do I do? Will geese kill them? what kind?

There has always been a few snakes around the pond, I'm sure. But , I've never seen it like this! I've heard from my relatives that if I put geese in the pond they will kill the snakes(and run the beavers that now have made there home in my pond, also destroying it). My cousin has a 4 acre lake, and he got geese, and now they even swim in there pond! If so, what kind of geese and is it true?
