Who is being gay considered too inapropriat for Disney channel?

Ok I promis this will be my last rant about tv atleast for tonight lol. Yeah but they always include characters that may or may not be gay but it's never openly said that that character likes the same sex. In shake it up for example alot of people assume Gunther is gay but it's never actually said. The guy who is like the boss of Disney or whatever said that he wants to keep it so that the characters sexualitys secret so that the audience can Interpret it any way they want but it's plain to see that other characters are straight. All the other characters on Disney shows go on dates and fall in love but the characters that are obviously ment to be gay have to settle. Why can't they be treated as normal characters? Would it really be to inapropriate to have two gay men fall in love and be happy together. They want you to have to interpret the gay characters sexuality so that if someone is offended by a gay character they can just simply say that they never said he was. I just want them to see that they are being complete hypocrits! If gay people can't have any romances on their shows or even say that they like the same gender then I don't think that straight people should be able to show their sexuality at all eighther!
