Birds that sound like fighting cats?

Last night I stepped out onto my porch around midnight to the sound of what I thought was a really nasty cat fight at the end of the street. But the sound started to get closer, as if the cats were fighting each other while quickly approaching my house. That's when I looked up to see the actual source of the noise, which was a row of about 7 or 8 bright white, significantly sized birds (looked the size of canadian geese with the body of a seagull or crow) flying south over my house. Now, I have heard many cat fights, and many birds, but I have never heard this sort of sound come from either creature. I was thinking maybe one of the birds had picked up a particularly vocal mouse or rabbit, but that seems highly unlikely considering how loud the sound was. Anyone have any ideas on what sort of bird this way? I live in Washington state if that helps at all.

If it has no other access to water, then yes. Give it enough water that it can submerge its entire bill into it becaue geese need to occassionally flush out their nostrils in water. Eating grass is completely normal for geese & is actually good for them because they need the niacin from it. They're very good grazers, almost as good as sheep or cows.

Any animes like Marmalade Boy?

Are there any animes that are similar to the anime Marmalade Boy? (I love that anime, it`s my favorite!) I like animes that were created in the 90`s for some reason, like 1993 and up. They have the kind of romance that I like--simple and sweet. The main girl is just a normal girl, but the guy loves her anyway--he sees something special in her. yes, this is an iron deficiency. but also a vitamin B12 deficiency. if you don't have enough vitamin B12 or folic acid, you can get headaches. iron and the B-vitamins usually need eachother to get absorbed into the body. so in other words, if you're missing one of them (iron or a B vitamin) you will be deficient in some other b vitamins as well!! you might want to get your iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and vitamin B5 levels checked up by the doctor/nurse. they will take a blood test to see if you're low in any of them. also, a deficiency in biotin, iron, zinc, and a lack of protein can cause hair loss.

Goose Down Sleeping Bag?

So I'm going to Philmont in 3 days. I bought a goose down sleeping bag good to 20 degrees. It is of course a mummy bag. It packs down really nicely. When I went on a shakedown hike a couple weeks ago on the long trail, even my body hear made the bag a little damp (zipper all the way up). So while out in Philmont, if I have the sleeping bag zipper fully open, will that prevent it from getting more moist? Also Vermont has really high humidity, so that may be a contributing factor, I'm not sure.

I need some feedback on genuine good books. I am an avid reader and will practically read anything. I have just finished Let The Right One In and do not know what to read next. I picked up The Picture of Dorian Gray, but I am hesitant after reading a couple of pages and It by Stephen King, but am kind of scared. And I am kind of sick of the cookie cutter novels I find in the teen section, they usually have no substance to them, however some I find are just addicting like the Sarah Dessen love stories that I adore. Anyone know a good realistic love story? its amazing i would definitely recommend :) its what the tv show trueblood is based on but the books are so much better. Sookie is the main character and lives in bon temps in louisiana where vampires have just revealed themselves to the world because of the invention of synthetic blood. Such a good series read it!

I want a historical romance with a kick *** heroine. The female should be able to take care of herself, but the male lead should still want to be her protector. keep them closed up in small area for about a week ...feed plenty grain...then let them out middle of day at first.....do not feed them any grain while out but train them by herding them like sheep to go home about 4:30 pm...carry a long stick to guide them n call them each time by yelling "honk..honk..honk" often to get used to you ..give them a few handfulls of grain once locked up...you may need to trim one wing to stop them flying ..but maybe not.....they make excellent mothers.....good luck...

What does it mean when you dream of someone and it becomes more than what you expected?

So for months I had these dreams about 3 times a week about a guy that attended my college. didnt even know his name, Wasnt attracted to him...etc..just another guy at school. I spoke to my mother and she had told me to talk to him about it and get it off my chest and releave that weight. so I did tell him, he right away guessed I was a libra. We had been talking just as frined for a few weeks now and one night we had gotten into a deep convo about religion, he said something that gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes. Then my phone cut off, when I cut it back on my text messages kept comming threw, it stoped at 74 messages, but there were no unread messages to read. I went to class the next day and looked up the number 74, It has a meaning of Jesus, and lucifer add up to 74, plus the word demon and verb suffer are mentioned in the bible 74 times. I got chills in my spine, then I had come home looked up the web site I got my info from (its printed out infront of me) and the site dont exist. What books should I read this summer?

I can't find anything that interests me. I usually like fiction books that have some romance and action in them. I've read The Maximum Ride series, The Hunger Games series, Shiver and Linger, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, The Body Finder, The Goose Girl, and similar books, although my taste in books is all over the place most of the time. Who is being gay considered too inapropriat for Disney channel?

Ok I promis this will be my last rant about tv atleast for tonight lol. Yeah but they always include characters that may or may not be gay but it's never openly said that that character likes the same sex. In shake it up for example alot of people assume Gunther is gay but it's never actually said. The guy who is like the boss of Disney or whatever said that he wants to keep it so that the characters sexualitys secret so that the audience can Interpret it any way they want but it's plain to see that other characters are straight. All the other characters on Disney shows go on dates and fall in love but the characters that are obviously ment to be gay have to settle. Why can't they be treated as normal characters? Would it really be to inapropriate to have two gay men fall in love and be happy together. They want you to have to interpret the gay characters sexuality so that if someone is offended by a gay character they can just simply say that they never said he was. I just want them to see that they are being complete hypocrits! If gay people can't have any romances on their shows or even say that they like the same gender then I don't think that straight people should be able to show their sexuality at all eighther!

Poultry - Is it bad for dogs?

So I've just began researching dog nutrition and I came across a website saying poultry is bad for dogs. Because it harbors bacteria like salmonella and e.coli is this true? Is chicken, turkey and all that bad for dogs? They also said duck and goose are bad too.

Is it normal to occasionally have small spasms in my limbs?

Occasionally (maybe once a week) I have a what I believe to be a small spasm somewhere around my body (usually my arms/legs). I could more accurately describe these as my bent arm suddenly and involuntary straightens and I get goose bumps. I also think this might be linked with this thing that used to happen a lot, where whenever I heard certain sounds (biting an ice cream usually, but sometimes other things) I would get goosebumps and have a TINY spasm all over. Any explanations/theories?

Ranma 1/2 is one of my all time favorites. It's definitely about martial arts and romance and they show boobs, if that's what you call mature. It's really great and funny. I think the manga is 32 books and the tv series has I think like 5 season or even more if I'm not mistaking. Other favorites include "Love Hina" and "A.I. Love You," they are great too. A.I. Love You is not an anime, only manga.

HELP PLEASE Addicted to picking at my arms?

Okay, so for pretty much as long as I can remember, I've had these bumps on my arms, shoulders, and some on my face. When I was in like the 7th grade, I picked at these bumps a couple times because it was fun to watch the white things come out, and I also felt that feeling you get when you pop a pimple, like oh thank god that one is gone. It started getting irritated so I stopped. During my first year of high school, after like the 4th person asked me why I had goose bumps on my arms when I wasn't cold, I got embarrassed and started picking at them again. It's become somewhat of an addiction and every time I see the bumps I literally can't help myself, like I HAVE to pick it, and sometimes I'll go to my bathroom to do one thing, and end up picking at my arms for like 15 minutes. Fruits Basket was really good. Also Clannad was amazing. I just finished it, although I must say it's a tear-jerker. Soul Eater was one of the best animes I have seen, but it's more of an action than a romance. I've also recently started watching Black Cat, but that's also an action. Is the vampire/werewolf thing getting out of control?

I found Vampire Diaries not that bad, but Twilight was the most idiotic thing ever. I like the vampire and werewolf thing if the writer stays true to the myths, but the sparkling and the one bite thing and also made of 'rock' was stupid. I can understand throwing out the garlic and Crucifix thing and adding one or two things, but completely recreating it is highly....retarded. I like how the L.J. Smith's interpretation of it is very well written. I love how the werewolves were actual werewolves, not 'shape shifters', and were interpreted as she saw them. L.J. Smith did well, but Bram Stoker, Anne Rice, and Stooke Stackhouse were geniuses. I still like L.J. Smith though. Sorry if you don't agree.

How can I get my dogs well & find out what is wrong with them?

I have 3 Labs. I don't know exactly how to describe what is wrong, but I will try. They have a terrible crouping gagging gasping dry sounding cough. At times they sound like a pig oinking or a goose honking. It's as if something is caught in their throats. They also seem to have trouble breathing in & out of their noses off & on, making strange gasping noises through them as well. I am so worried. I've taken them to a couple different vets, but they don't cough while there, of course. They check out fine otherwise. I was told it's kennel cough. I've tried steroids, anti-inflamatory drugs, & antibiotics now. Vet also had me buy OTC cough medicine for them. Nothing is helping. It has been 11 days now. The main complaint about this book is that nothing really happens. There isn't one story that dominates the narrative. It's pretty much a continuation of things that have gone before. It's still worth a read, especially if you're interested in Eric and Sookie.

Well I don't listen to all of these bands but I'll tell you what I think of the ones that I do listen to. I don't really like A Day To Remember, their screaming is not too good... I love BVB, Andy Biersack (Six) for life :) I have to say that MCR was substantially better before Danger Days. I feel like with Danger Days they lost who they were, the new music is more "radio friendly". I have to give a thumbs up to post and a thumbs down to pre. 30 seconds to mars... eh. They have so-so music. I wouldn't say there is anything special about them. I like Attack, Attack! because I think they are unique. I think that bringing auto tune into rock music is original, even though some people are against it. Uhm, I have only heard one song by The Devil Wears Prada so I won't judge them.

Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood is so irritating. She is a manipulative B word who runs her mouth and taunts others because she knows she can scream and have some one come and save her worthless hide if she gets into over her head. For this story I'm thinking of writing about, it starts with this little girl in a hospital and there's this man that comes by everyday and plays for the children on his violin. In particular, the little girl (not sure what ails her yet) falls in love with his music and then I know one day he stops coming. And then I'm thinking maybe 10 years in the future, she's on her own, and she's learned how to play the violin and she wants to find the man that played for her when she was little but can't find him. the man character is a man named bruce who is all in all unimpressive. He obsesses and fantasizes about this woman he hired named Lily. He got a job at his fathers publishing company after he had no where else to go. There was a time where he had promise and self worth but not anymore. he likes Lily because she is sweet to him. However he is aware this is only because she knows no better. If she knew how weak he really was she'd disrespect him like everyone else.. his father is deeming his mother is overbearing and he is miserable. any suggestion where I should go how to make him more Masculine . Eventually in the story he is going to become some one you stop routing for because he will take advantage of Lily the only person more fragile them. Jill is another character described as large her personality is big she is polar opposite of Lily. Bruce hates her because he describes her as Masculine. Jill is mean to Bruce and can spot his insecurities. She often brings them to his face. However She herself only wants bruce to like her. I want to play on the theme of masculinity verse Femininity and coming of age and in no way do I want this to be a romance novel. I want there to be intese symbolism but I am hitting a wall in the second chapter him and Lily become closer and I have no where to go.

I would like to get into a new series, but it doesn't have to be a series. I don't like reading about really Innocent characters like in the Twilight books. I like mysteries, fantasy, and a little bit of romance. I wouldn't mind getting into Graphic novels either. Just leave a list of anything you thought was a good enough book to buy and read. I've read the Sookie Stackhouse series, Vampire Academy series, the Millenium trilogy, the Hunger Games trilogy, the Secret Circle books, and the Night World books.

I think you shouldnt give up on her! I have a similar story to yours, i knew this girl in 2nd grade but never talked to her til 6th. She used to be my best friend and everything just like in your story, and were moving on to 9th grade now. I dont think you should give up though. Your story with her sounds too serious to just give up. Id just talk about what she thinks about her relationship with that other dude, but dont pull a move until they break up. You can try to lay away for awhile until she comes to you. Or just wait until she notices that her other guy friends are *****. What is a good, recent book series?

If you enjoyed the Harry series then I think you will find a lot of enjoyment out of Lev Grossman's "The Magicians." It's a slightly more mature wizarding world that takes place in North America. Grossman's writing left me truly anxious when I turned the last page. One of the rare worlds that readers can become intertwined into. The second book in his series, "The Magician King," I believe is set to hit the shelves this fall.

I'm looking for a specific 2000s Sci-fi/ Adventure/ with a HINT of romance, movie.?

Okay So I remember watching this movie back in the early 2000s..probably came out in 2003? or 2002. So I'm going to range it from 2001-2004. And the movie was from what I remember about a, Two test subjects( this is takes place in the future, I dont think there was flying cars or anything, but holograms, and special gadjets were used.) One a Female and Male, were basically being made for the perfect family? I think..either way the subject's in that facility were all there for bettering the way life is as we know it. And the couple escaped after learning what they were being used for.( Again this is all from what I remember YEARS ago.) And escape to civilization, were they have to try and adapt to life on the outside, while on the run from the facility. I also remember that they were all wearing white, every single one of them. That's were it ends for me. And I keep thinking about this movie for some reason and would love to watch it again, BTW if it helps, the actors were VERY good lookign people, The male I beleived resembled Brad Pitt a bit( It probably was him I doubt it though) and the Female, was a Pretty blonde( AGAIN I think) kinda resembled Jennifer Aniston? But it was a futuristic/adventure film I know that much. And the movie began with them all being in the facility, and being programmed for things...It was a pretty cool movie, And would love to watch it again, so please give me your answer's on what the movie, could be. Oh and it WAS in theater's since I remember watching it on HBO or Starz alot.

You could try the morganville vampire series by Rachel Caine. This is a long series but not in a bad way I think there are 11 out so far with another to come. I haven't read the last few because I started a while ago before they weren't out and haven't come back to it after reading other books. You should also read nightshade by Andrea Cremer. Only the first book has been released so far and the second is due next month this is a werewolf sereis and the first book has got me hanging out for the next. Evernight has been a good series I'm about to reread the first three books so I can read the fourth book that has just come out in the last couple of months.

The Vampires Diaries by L.J. Smith is super amazing! If you don't watch the show (which you should), a bad boy (Damon Salvatore) falls for good girl (Elena Gilbert.) BUT, I would only recommend the first four books. I loved those a lot, but the newer series is just terrible, due to the 18 year gap between the two series being written. I couldn't even get past the first book in the new series! But the older ones I would read (:

I've read the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse novels and thoroughly enjoyed them and am waiting on the next installment. I am now reading the Keri Arthur Riley Jenson series and LOVE them!
