Do chinese geese free-range without flying away?

keep them closed up in small area for about a week ...feed plenty grain...then let them out middle of day at first.....do not feed them any grain while out but train them by herding them like sheep to go home about 4:30 pm...carry a long stick to guide them n call them each time by yelling "honk..honk..honk" often to get used to you ..give them a few handfulls of grain once locked up...you may need to trim one wing to stop them flying ..but maybe not.....they make excellent mothers.....good luck...
