Bird Impact Damage 1960's Vintage DC-8?

You have a 1960's vintage DC-8 making it's final approach during which it hits a goose. The goose impacts right on the pilot"s side windscreen. What sort of damage would result? Would the damage resemble a spiderweb pattern like on an automobile windshield or would you see only see bubble like imperfections resulting from partial de-lamination of the plexiglas layers? Also after an unexpected event like impacting a goose would the pilot use more flap in the attempt to drop air speed faster than under normal circumstances?
