I'm going fishing soon..?

I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. there's a small pond near my house that i'm allowed to go fish at. i was wondering what types of fish might be in the pond. i know there are fish in it, but when i went the only animals i saw were geese, snakes, and frogs. there are also many insects.
