What are some good books to read?

Some of my favorites are Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Stephen King, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Q&A. Twilight sucks and I plan on reading the Lord of the Rings series and the Sookie Stackhouse books over the summer but what are some other great books to read? I also enjoy school books that most people use sparknotes for instead and I read a lot so I'm open to any suggestions.
